She’s currently ranked 10th, so, yes, it has changed since the end of 2019 and not by a few spots. And the points are tight enough in that group from 6th-15th that forfeiting or not actually can have a material impact on her standings and seeding over the next few months.

I will also have to nitpick where you characterize my post as saying it would have a serious impact on her. I started by saying “For a tennis player” and then I used the word “can”, nowhere did I say it would have a catastrophic impact on her. My point was that a tennis player deciding to forfeit a match in a single elimination tournament, is different than a team doing so in the middle of a series. Both gestures are significant, but the calculation is different when you are single player and will eventually be judged by your individual total career win/loss record rather than as part of a group. And it is also significant in the current state of affairs where there are less tournaments to compete in, so you can end up with a significant disadvantage in points that you can’t make up by entering more competitions.
