How bold and brave for the Bucks to boycott their game today to protest the Kenosha shooting.
How about a forfeit? Nah, they just get to make a statement. Performance art at its finest.

The gall of these guys, thinking they can make statements about things.
How dare they…
Wait, what did they do that’s somehow wrong?
Just a guess: they didn’t shut up and play their ball game for the entertainment of the masses.
The NBA has canceled all of their playoff games for tonight in support of Jacob Blake, so it’s not just the Bucks.
The Bucks did forfiet, the Magic just didn’t accept it:
I’m sure most people are aware, but it should be noted that the Kenosha incident is local to the Bucks. From where they play to Kenosha is, what, a half hour drive, maybe 45 minutes in traffic. Not that it would make a difference if it happened in another state hundreds of miles away, but this is still something that happened locally.
Exactly. Generally when you boycott a match you forfeit it - unless other team or the league allows it.
Right… I’m sure the NBA would have happily accepted the forfeit and pissed away the money
It’s amazing how you look for conspiracy when perhaps the Magic agreed with what the Bucks were doing.
That’s why it’s pure garbage. It costs no one anything, just a ‘statement’ The money printer still goes brrrrrrrrr
So do you want them to do less or more? Because you complain about every time a player uses their position to make a point.
They have the right to boycott, but this should have been treated as a forfeit.
Their opponent refused to accept the forfeit, joining them in their protest.
He’s one of those guys who is always going to complain about certain types of people unless they’re singing, dancing, or playing with a ball for his amusement.
Because both sides agreed after the Bucks decided to boycott even if it cost them a playoff game it means nothing?
Or would it ‘mean more’ if the Magic were more racist?
Your objection is nonsensical.

The season in jeopardy? Ha ha. Perhaps as a gesture towards human rights, they’ll readjust the schedule to make it more friendly for Beijing time.
I don’t really follow the NBA, but aren’t you conflating the league’s pathetic lack of backbone towards China with the players’ bold stance on the Jacob Blake shooting?
I don’t think the Bucks were wrong to call attention to a local concern. I don’t think the NBA is either, although they are surely cognizant of the demographics of their key players and much of the audience. The NBA actions are not without hypocrisy, but not worthless just because the ultimate consequences for players will be small. Hopefully the ultimate effect will not be.
