I’m pretty sure the female mini-jack on my computer (Dell 1501 Laptop) is shot. Instead of opening the computer and replacing it, I’d like to just plug the mini-jack male into a mini-jack female and the other end of the cable into a USB port on the computer.
Possible? If so, where can I buy one?

What is a “mini-jack?” Audio out?
