Did that many times in my mispent youth. The real challenge was leaving with the putter too.
Yes! The summer and winter courses, Fantasia gardens, and the Fairways. I wonder if you ran into the same old guy that’s worked there for years. He says he holds the course record on the Fairways course and was also there when Tiger Woods played and said he hated how difficult it was.
(The 3 regular mini-golf courses kept the ball at the end.)
In my hometown growing up, Putt Putt was to miniature golf what the NFL was to professional football. Vacation towns would likely have miniature golf courses that weren’t Putt Putts, but those were the outliers. IIRC, at Putt Putt it swallowed your ball on the 18th hole. But we spent most of our time there in the arcade.
I assume that Putt Putts still exist, because skating rinks still exist. I can’t recall seeing one in a while, though. It seems like kind of a niche sport that takes up a lot of real estate.
