Hello, I fancy committing suicide and was just wondering - how do I determine the minimum height from which to jump by way of guaranteeing death? IE: I don’t want to get into any terminal velocity nonsense, thanks!
Way too many variables to get an answer. People have survived skydives without parachutes. On the other hand, a fall of 1 foot would almost definitely be fatal if you landed in a pool of molten lava.
Oh, and don’t do it!
Six feet, if you have a rope handy.
I heard a doctor say that 30 feet was the 50/50 point for survival.

I thought everyone knew - a fall from any height is not fatal. It’s the sudden stop at the bottom.
Jump onto a live grenade, any height will do.
Start with whatever height is handy, and work your way up as necessary.
