I’m careful about rushing to judgment based on a viral video. That guy could have been anyone from an anarchist, to a college dropout-turned- shit disturber, to a member of the Republican party trying to start a Reichstag Fire, to a white nationalist trying to start a race war. Could have been someone just bored and wanting some attention. No way to know at this point.
It’s a similar mask but not the same. The state trooper masks has one black filter cartridge, the man who broke the window has two pink filter cartridges.
To give himself additional shield from public view? This guy may or may not be political - could be just a pot-smoking dropout from the burbs.
It’s a tactic used by the Hong Kong protesters. It helps to deter facial recognition. Though with the mask, I’m not sure facial recognition would work, anyway.
Just a couple of points: The Attorney General of Minnesota is Keith Ellison, former Congressman. He is also a Muslim. I don’t think he’s going to be sweeping anything under the rug.
Another point is that Target is a major figure in Minnesota. Not just as an employer, but it’s a political figure, as well. They have, in the past, given contributions to right wing politicians (including one who was running against Mark Dayton, scion of the founding family of Target), but they have backed off on that funding in recent years.
For many shitheads, the term “far left” means “Anyone who does not call Dear Leader Trump the greatest, or scream SOCIALISM with spittle flying out of their mouths”
