If I have a thread open and hit ‘refresh’ on my browser, does that increment the view count? Or does the count only increment when I click on the link from the forum page?
Just wondering…

I created a test thread above. I refreshed it 5 times by hitting the refresh button them 5 times with shift+refresh button. I then refreshed the forum. The view count was still 1, for my one view after posting. This means that refreshing does not increment the view count, unless the view count is indexed and is updated to the board at intervals, but I doubt it.
I’ve wondered about this myself.
I take it back. After I posted this, there were 14 views to my test thread. 14 views in a minute sounds high, especially for ATMB. Apparently, refresh does increment the view counter.
I’ve noticed on other MBs using version 3 that the views info doesn’t get updated in ‘real time’ It can ‘jump’ by tens of views after not aquiring any for minutes. Not sure if that is the case here.
I’ve definitely noticed it here since the last upgrade. Like, I’ll see a new thread have 1 view after 30 minutes, but 15 views after an hour.
Yeah, I was curious about this too. I just started a thread, and just clicked on it, but it didn’t register the view for at least 10 minutes.
