Misleading song titles?

As I was perusing my CD collection this weekend, I had a realization pop into my head. I stumbled across a few song titles that weren’t necessarilly indicitive of the actual meaning behind the song. For instance, if you read the title “Everything About You” by Ugly Kid Joe, you might be inclined to think it a love song. Then I realized that the Counting Crows song “I Wish I Was a Girl” also fell into this category (I wish I was a girl/So that you could believe me/And I could shake this static/Every time I try to sleep/I wish for all the world/That I could say/"Hey, Elisabeth, I’m doing alright these days). Any others that come to mind?

A band called Vozuluzov has a song called Meg which everyone thinks is about a girl named Meg, but really it is called meg because the lyrics keep repeating “One more million times”.

I don’t get it.

On the last Eliot Smith album, there’s a song called “She Means Everything to Me,” which really appears to be a love song, but the next song on the album is “Everything Means Nothing to Me.” Very clever, that Eliot Smith.

“Meg” as in “mega-” the prefix meaning “million,” I’m guessing.

Knead has it right, it is a reference to mega.

I just never get tired of hearing that!
