Misogynistic and creepy or fun and liberating...or both?

At first I looked at it from her point of veiw. And it was like some hypnotic dream. Then I realized you could manipulate her…and then it was sort of like a lucid Satanic dream.

Then I couldn’t deside who to identify with. Or who was having more fun.

Then I decided if anything was really creepy it was that SHE WILL NEVER STOP FALLING!!!

What do you think?

My god. That is my worst nightmare in motion.
Stop it. Stop it right now…

Bizarre.

She does stop sometimes, though…when she gets wedged in between a couple of bubbles.

Interesting, but oddly disconcerting.

I saw a version with George W Bush falling.

For some reason it was less creepy than this one.

This one’s more fun.

Thanks a lot guys. Now I’m scarred for at least the next half hour.

Awesome. It’s creepy when she lands on a bubble and stops falling; she looks like she’s breathing. Eergh. Fun, though.

DUUUUUUDE!!!

Is this a new attraction at Disney or something? Cause I would soooo be there!

I arranged her in a comfortable looking reclining position on some bubbles before closing the window. It’s a little disturbing how flexible her torso is; she’s apparently some sort of strange caterpillar.

Wow, this doesn’t look too comfortable:

This. is. freaking…

FUN!

Lookit her go! Whee!

To answer the OP: Misogynistic and creepy.

Just sayin’.

It’s just a little demo of ragdoll physics. That is something for video games.

To me it has all of the social statement of a lava lamp.

I’m finding it a bit creepy. I got her perched in a comfy looking position on a couple of bubbles before I quit. Poor thing.

Funny how I can feel compassion for a computer generated image. I’m a sap.

I personally find it completely hypnotic. It’s just so…weird.

You know you can control her a little with the mouse.

I like laying her down and smashing her face over and over onto one of the rocks.

Obviously, I vote for “fun and liberating”.

Fun!

I like it the best when she just falls and falls and I don’t have to do anything. For whatever reason, it looks like fun.

Why would it be misogynistic? Because the character is a woman? If it was a man, would it be misandristic? Generally, if you want to portray a human, it is difficult to not give them some sex. That a character has a certain sex does not mean it is intended as a representative of that sex, and things that happen to or are done to that character need be no more than that.

It is creepy, though. And fun.

It’s not misogynistic IMO, because you aren’t doing anything to hurt her. She’s already falling.

But c’mon - she does land in some … er … “compromising” postions. Many of them.

Limply.

That being said – yeah, it’s fun!
