Mississippi Senator wants "public hanging" ??

Interesting. So not the racists themselves, but also not exactly a false flag, since the people who did it were honest about their intentions.

This is going to be a very interesting vote.

McDaniel’s supporters have been sending out robocalls encouraging one to either write him in or vote for Espy. This, according to the calls, will send a message to the GOP about stealing elections since they apparently “assassinated McDaniel’s character”. The last call stated that “THEY™ spent a million to buy black votes in the 2016 election”.

On the other side, pro-Espy robocallers are pissing many people off because - verified - messages are coming multiple times a day. The BLM robocall was poorly timed in the midst of the deluge and horribly worded as well.

Yeah, I don’t get it. Party voters will vote party, McDaniel’s supporters will do whatever, voters who do research will vote for what they think is the best candidate.

Perhaps predictable, interesting nonetheless.

n.b. - Everything in quotes above is my memory of the calls. Yes, I should have transcribed them. No, I did not.

I’m not sure which thread to put the latest election night results, but:

Nate Silver: I think y’all are being too cautious on telling everyone to be cautious; these numbers are pretty bad for Hyde-Smith (R) so far and they’re coming from different parts of the state. Yeah, she’s still the favorite, but Espy’s odds have gone up versus where we were at the start of the night. What Went Down In The Mississippi Senate Runoff Election | FiveThirtyEight

The AP has called the runoff for Hyde-Smith, more or less officially putting a cap on the evening. Hyde-Smith currently leads 56 percent to 44 percent, although the remaining uncounted vote figures to be Democratic-leaning. This should still be a single-digit race — and a solid Democratic overperformance — when all is said and done. What Went Down In The Mississippi Senate Runoff Election | FiveThirtyEight
