The “Jack Kimble” persona is portrayed on Twitter (and Substack) as a stalwart MAGA type, though his defense of MAGA and Trump is (deliberately) comically inept (on the order of Stan Kelly’s cartoons in the Onion).
It’s always fun to see outraged comments on his posts from leftists who have been thoroughly whooshed.
Another Kimble post from today, mocking Trump’s demented comment about missiles shot by “the Islamic Republic of Japan”:

It’s a phone call, and presumably not a Face-time type. It’s perfectly possible to fake one side of a phone call. (Recall the 2011 phone call Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker THOUGHT he was having with billionaire David Koch. It was with the editor of an online publication pretending to be Koch.)
It’s pretty easy to record a phone call. Since Republicans are so eager to prove that Mitch is ‘fine,’ you’d think they’d be equally eager to offer proof.
It’s not proof if it’s real.

While speaking with reporters, Trump was asked whether he had spoken with McConnell.
“No,” Trump replied.
When asked how the longtime Kentucky senator was doing, Trump said, “I have no idea.”

I’m giving you both the benefit of the doubt that you missed the other two mod notes to cut off any excessive off-topic turtle cracks without any actual P&E content. This was after a run of a dozen or more such in the thread. If you are here to only post a crack, take it to the Pit. Again, I am assuming you missed the priors, but since this is now the third mod-note on the same issue in just over 48 hours, expect more serious moderation going forward.

Yes, if there’s anything we’ve found most moves Republicans and especially McConnell, it’s the strongly worded letter.
I assume the letter is a warning to be followed by action.
If not, then I’m not sure why he even bothered.
politics, posturing, grandstanding, playing to his supporters … whatever. Even politicians whose hearts are in the right place and whose dedication to the good of the people is real still have to play games. This is one of them, I suppose.
I don’t really care if McConnell is “merely” bedridden. As long as he can’t make it to the Capitol to vote, I hope he lives out his term and stubbornly refuses to resign. Politically, it’s the Republicans who should want his quick demise.
