Another neighbor who spoke with the Daily Mail said McConnell’s staffers were “crying” as the Kentucky Republican was carried into an ambulance.
“When he came out, I actually wondered if he was dead. He did not look good,” the neighbor told the Daily Mail according to The Daily Beast, also speaking on the condition of anonymity.
“He was not conscious. His eyes were closed, he had oxygen [tubes] strapped to his nose. I knew by [his aides] running in and out that it was something serious. There weren’t a lot of sirens. That was the thing that was interesting.”
It nerfs it in the least. McConnell is no longer majority leader, and, even if he was, low info voters barely know who he is.
Let’s take a deep breath here. We’re looking at an item from Raw Story that cites a story from the Daily Mail whose source was the Daily Beast quoting an unnamed neighbor.
I find the sourcing. . . dubious.
The Mail may be little more than the New York Post of Fleet Street, but they broke the story on Bryon Noem’s crossdressing fetish and that reporting proved accurate, as did their expose on ICE hiring practices last year. They’re actually capable of quality reporting when they’re not chasing celebrities around and parroting gossip about the royal family.

For what it’s worth, I think Lindsay stealing Mitch’s thunder here at least shows that keeping an actual death a secret is an absurd idea.
As several have noted: If Mitch was capable of participating in three 20-minute conversations in recent days (as claimed by John Thune, John Barrasso, and Scott Jennings), then surely he’s capable of recording a sentence of regret at the death of his very-long-time colleague, Lindsey Graham.
One would expect a sentence or two to have been submitted by his staff to the various news shows, today.
It’s really difficult to understand any reason someone as ‘with it’ as the Trio claimed he was during their calls, would refrain from having his staff hand him his phone so he could eulogize Lindsey.
I just heard this on CNN, and found a link. TL : DR, yes, he fell, and says he had “mild pneumonia” and is being moved to a rehab facility.
And the unnamed neighbor is not a medical professional, and is basing their assessment on a casual glance from dozens of feet away. Even if the story as reported is 100% true, it means almost nothing beyond what little we already know. People who are being loaded into ambulances usually don’t look healthy.
McConnell is apparently alive and well …

I remember a lot of second guessing about what was going on with Anne Heche when she was getting loaded into an ambulance, easy to do and maybe fun, but not especially valuable.
