"Mitchum" deodorant--Did Revlon's people have to clear it with Robert?

(WFsites) - Page not found

Golden Peacock became The Mitchum Company, taking it’s name from Mr. Warren. Ditto the deodorant, according to Rachel (WFsites) - Page not found at the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center.

Or, as it turns out, not. :dubious:

The Mitchum Co. originated in Paris, Tenn., where I live and am from. Mitchum was named for Mitchum Warren, the son of the man who founded the company. Mitchum Warren later became manager himself. Originally, the Mitchum company was Golden Peacock.

I’d like to go on record that I really, really wish I could buy Golden Peacock deodorant.

I know this post is old but I was doing research on family history and was led here. Mitchum deoderant originally belonged to my great grandfather Mitchum Warren. It was sold it to revlon in the 70’s. Now all of the first born sons in my family are Mitchum Warren. The youngest being my cousin, the fourth. Just thought I could clear things up. It has no affiliation with Mitchum the actor.

That was an excellent bit of ignorance-fighting, Beeko18!

Welcome to the SDMB. I hope you’ll stick around and have some fun with us.

I bet they think their armpits don’t stink!
