Counting prisoners is how Obama got it down to 7.8%.
I didn’t watch the debate on TV,but listened to it on the radio. My impression was that Romney sounded like he tried to give his plans for the country, but wasn’t quite sure of what they were. Just promised a lot of things, that if elected, he could say as he did about the 47%," I was wrong", when they didn’t come to be.
I am a registered Republican, but I do not always vote for the Republicans, they seem to just cater to the rich, and the base of their party, which now seems to be the rich, and extremists.
They talk about the government running peoples lives but in reality they do more (or want to) about what people do in their own homes. If what a person does in the privacy of their own homes should not be the Governments business unless some one is being abused in some way. We have sepration of Church and State, and one religion should not decide what goes on in an individuale’s life. Nor should they be forced to do anything against their beliefs, that doesn’t bring harm to other’s.
Obama seemed to go to the debate to let the American peole know what he had planned for them, but was led off track by some of Romney’s remarks. In a way it helped me to decide to vote for Obama, He seemed more interested in the people than in himself!
Wow, such ill will toward Mitt?
The fact is Oblamer has nothing to say-his record is one of complete failure.
Even the bogus unemployment rate report won’t help-the fact is, so many people have dropped out of the workforce, that the rate has dropped a bit.
Those 5 million “Green” jobs that Obama was yakking about (2008)-where are they? Did they vanish with Solyndra? Did the Cookie Monster take them? Maybe blowing another $90 billion will bring them?
No, the Republicans blocked him at every turn.
You are reading way too much into my comments. I’m not saying “evil, shiftless, rotten” or anything of the sort. I’m saying lucky. Very lucky.
He is a generally good person who wants what he thinks is best for America. He’s also above average intelligence. But he’s also very lucky.
Well, you never hear such abuse from the other side. They say that Obama is a fine and upstanding Muslim, with sincerely held socialist principles, and that there is nothing wrong with being born in Kenya, except for the technicality of not being eligible to be President. His plan to sacrifice our first born to Cthulhu sounds radical on a first listening, but we should examine it more closely before we make up our minds.
All in all, perfectly reasonable.
Where does Mitt plan on bringing the millions of jobs he says he will create, out of his hat in some magic trick? Talk is cheap, once elected the abillity to do something is not just left to the president, and if businesses move their jobs over seas to make even bigger profits, because they care more for money then people,no one can guarentee the jobs will just flow in!
Ann?
California did it to themselves without Obama’s help. Give him a pass on this one.
How does the price of gasoline have anything to do with the office of President?
It’s uncanny. As though waves of dumbed-down talking points vibrated across the ether, trickled like green vomit from a radio subwoofer onto the earth, and sprouted up in the form of a squirming homunculus. A shoddy replica, all the more sickening for its distant resemblance to an actual sentient human being.
I thought he was 0bummer. You mean I have to learn *another *nickname? My brain’s full as it is.
That’s Obama’s fault too!
I was thinking that this thread might have some traction after 10:30 tonight, but I would think that even Snit Momney knows enough not to smirk at civilians.
Then again, maybe he doesn’t… he’s made hundreds of millions of dollars for himself by decimating jobs, lives and companies.
His contempt for the common man is legion. I change my outlook here:
Can’t wait to see him smirk at a civilian.
I only listened to the debate tonight (10/16) and didn’t see it, so if there was smirkage, it eluded me.
But I was disgusted at Romney’s “Answer the Question” bullying. Interrupting, “Answer my question” several times. That was just the height of shitty behavior.
But…BFD: I’d already made up my mind I didn’t like him, either as a person or as a presenter of a package of political changes. In all honesty, I don’t think there was anything he could conceivably have said that would have changed my opinion.
(I find it amazing that there really are people who haven’t yet made up their minds! Either way you look at it, the choice is shit or shinola. It’s like not being able to make up your mind between flamin’ hot Cheetohs and rocky-road ice cream. One or the other is gonna really stand out, to nearly anybody!
