Within one paragraph in an essay I’m writing, I’m citing several different quotes from the same page in a book. I’m trying to find out how many times I have to include the page citation in the paragraph, whether it needs to be included after every sentence, or only after a cluster of sentences that all deal with the same idea.
Example:
Victor Frankenstein envisions creating “a new species” which would “bless me as its creator” (textbook author 933). He imagines that “many happy and excellent natures would owe themselves to me” (933).
Is this correct? Or can I get away with only putting the citation at the end of the second sentence?
