I am sitting in the stands at the Orioles @ Marlins pre-season game. It’s a lovely spring day at Roger Dean stadium in Jupiter FL. 82F w some puffy clouds.
Here at the end of the first inning the stands are ~15% occupied.
This stadium is shared w the St Louis Cardinals. Yesterday’s (Monday’s) Cards game here was about 90% sold out. I didn’t attend so i don’t know how sales compared w actual attendance.

ETA: And here in the top of the 2nd, Marlins starting pitcher Eury Perez gives up back to back home runs beyond left field. This is a short park by MLB standards, but I predict it’s gonna be a long season in Miami.

There is a giant cohort of middle-age Cardinals fans who take a trip to Jupiter and a watch a few games as their version of Spring Break.
I was one of those people ~20 years ago. Then things changed in my life and I took a job transfer to Miami. So then I could attend spring training by driving, not flying. The rest is history.
I’ll probably attend one Cards game before the preseason ends. Just need to pick which day I want to be in the crowd.
