I don’t know if I can take the stress of a game 7. Hope the M’s win it tonight. But I’m not confident.
I was with you right up until that last sentence. Being in the World Series will have to be enough for them this year.
I meant better to lose to the Mariners than the Jays.
Congratulations on advancing to the World Series, and good luck to you there @Disinfectus .
never mind
Bases loaded for the Mariners. We need something,
ETA: A second straight double play.

Appreciate it!
Looks like there is going to be a game 7.
Phew.
This will be the first Game 7 the Jays have been in since 1985.
The Mariners didn’t play well today at all, which makes me worried if they play well they’ll win Game 7.
You have to think the Dodgers are cheering for Seattle - if Seattle wins, they get to stay home for Games 1 and 2. If the Jays win, the Dodgers have to get on a plane to play in Toronto on Friday.
If Seattle wins game 7, they will go on to play the team that they most recently played, to end the regular season. That has a certain wrongness about it.
It wouldn’t be the Mariners if they weren’t making it as hard for themselves as possible.
Didn’t they rest some of the starters in that series? I don’t think it’ll be indicative of how the WS will play out.
They treated it like a sort of practice series. Not to say that they didn’t put in any effort but they had a lot of their backups playing and their lineups were definitely different from the usual (either regular season or later postseason).
If the Mariners blow that 2-0 series lead by losing tonight in Game 7, it will be nearly as bad or worse for Seattle as that Seahawks-Patriots Super Bowl.
Don’t remind us. (/Seattle)
The Mariners played okay today. Not great, but not poorly either. It was a fairly-matched ball game, from what I saw.
I liked what one of the Jays’ players said in the post-game interview (and don’t ask me who): “It’s one game at a time.” That’s how the Jays need to approach tomorrow’s game: just another game where the object is to win the game. Forget the World Series, forget the ALCS, just win the game, as they did so many times during the season. One game at a time.
I would disagree. They made 4 (!) errors, and grounded into three double plays, all of which came early in the game when they had chances to get back into the game. They only had 7 hits and struck out 13 times.
I think they would tell us that they played like crap.
