Patrick Corbin had his best outing of the season, striking out 12 and only allowing one run, and we got two runs in the bottom of the 8th and held on to beat the Pirates 3-1. The Nats have now won 6 of our last 8 games.

Probably paywalled, but could there really be minor league baseball in a Chicago suburb?

I guess it’s similar to Southern California where there’s 2 (3 including San Diego) major league teams but there’s still minor league ball in the numerous suburbs surrounding Orange County and Los Angeles counties.

There already are. The American Association league is full of them. The Gary Railcats are 26 miles from Guaranteed Rate Field. The Chicago Dogs are 13 miles from Wrigley. The Kane County Cougars are 44 miles from Wrigley (admittedly a bit outside your normal scope of “suburbs”).
