Fucking Indians pulled another late win out. this time beating the Red Sox. When will they return to earth?
And now Seattle have just tied the Twins in the 9th.
Did anyone catch the ESPN2 broadcast of the Indians/Red Sox game? How did the national announcers deal with the fact that their fucking Red Sox got beat by the actual best team in baseball?
Such a game tonight. I mean, WOW! I have a bit of a tummyache.
Seattle finally had a bad outing from one of their starters, but their offense made an appearance and they won 8-7 in 10. It helped who their opponent was.
What the heck has happened to the Twins? They have been pretty good for the last few years, but this year they are positively awful with pretty much the same personnel. Mauer is hurt, but Morneau was hurt last year.
Fucking Red Sox lost another one in the late innings, this time losing to the Indians. When are going to start playing up to their potential?
Sox are a half game out. They are fine. All they have to do is beat Tampax and the Yankees. They are in a very healthy position.
And the Indians have been practically unstoppable. I wouldn’t hold a loss in Cleveland against any team right now.
Yeah, but my wife is about ready to rip Wilson’s beard out one whisker at a time if he doesn’t start turning the drama down a notch or three…
On the other hand, it’s hard to get *too *worked up about a 27-19 record…but I’d feel even better if we were playing above .500 on the road.
The Indians aren’t doing that, either.
Hey, the last weekend in June should be fun.
If you want to catch a plane west, I’ll but you a beer and some garlic fries at the park …
My prediction: It’ll be a three-game sweep with the Giants outscoring the Indians 9-6
On this date four years ago…
…was the last time the Rays started a pitcher who was at least 30 years old.
They should be more than just “fine”. With the lineup the Sox have, they should be the ones that are “unstoppable”. Currently, they’re creaming the ball, and although 14-7 is not a bad record for this month, they could be a lot better
Orioles had a nice comeback win today, from 0-3 down to 2-3, and then scored 3 in the bottom of the 9th to win 5-3.
Thanks be to Zeus the Reds finally snap their skid!
What a depressing choke job by the Blue Jays.
Once again we see the negative effect of a tema obsessing voer the “closer” designation. Francisco was desginated “the closer,” so he must be used to close, whether or not he’s the best pitcher for the job. So of course he blows it.
Bad night for Royals pitching greats.
Joakim Soria blows yet another save - there must be something wrong with him.
And RIP, Paul Splittorff, the Royals’ all-time wins leader.
Wow, the Red Sox are having their way with the Indians today. 14 - 0.
Went to the Phillies game last night. It was nice to see Utley back. And, it was nice to see the Phillies come through with a bunch of extra base hits. And, it was nice to get a bobble head doll.
That was all great fun. Of course there was that ninth inning.
Oh well. Madson can’t be perfect every game. And, no team with an offense as good as the Reds can keep on losing. Hopefully, tonight will be better.
Here’s to Barry Bonds for being awesome. He’s paying for Bryan Stow’s kids to go to college. Stow is the guy who was severely beaten outside of Dodger Stadium early this year. Pretty cool of Bonds to come through like this.
The Cardinals-Padres game is the MLB.TV free game of the day.
Normally this would be irrelevant to me, because i have a subscription anyway, and don’t need the free game.
But they apparently waive blackout rules for the free game, so i can watch in on my computer. Under normal blackout rules, i never get to see the Padres on MLB.TV.
I’m watching both my teams at once, the Padres against St. Louis, and the Orioles against KC.
Tight game in San Diego, but the Padres just took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the 8th.
The Orioles crammed a week’s worth of offense into one inning, putting up 8 runs against the Royals in the bottom of the 4th.
