I don’t know how they behaved, but I’d never fault someone who simply rooted against their league’s team in the WS. Many if not most AL team fans would root against the Yankees in the WS, and the Dodgers are often considered the Yankees of the NL.
Keuchel needed a lot of pitches - 32 - in the top of the 1st.
And Kershaw was very efficient and needed just 12 pitches.
And… Keuchel’s night is over after 86 pitches. It’s 4-0 Dodgers with 2 outs in the top of the 4th. That may be all Kershaw needs.
Jerry Hairston Jr is reportedly among the candidates for the Yankees job, and the Phillies are going to name Gabe Kapler as manager once the Series is over (he currently works in the Dodgers front office).
Wow! Guriel crushed that one.
If the Astros win this, there will be even more discussion about the timing of his suspension.
Of course, if he had been suspended, who’s to say the Dodgers would have a couple of THEIR runs?
And I’m honestly really not sure if being racist trash is, or should be, a suspendable offense for a team playing in the championships. I go back and forth constantly on it.
And now negated by a Dodger 3-run home run.
This is one of the wildest Series I can recall.
A wild one, yes!
Ya know, earlier in this thread, I was slightly pulling for the Astros. Now I’m kinda like, fuck the Astros, go Dodgers!
How is this game 7-4 with a strike zone that goes from their shoelaces to their ears and one batters box to the next and both aces pitching? I guess it’s a positive that the strike zone ou’d consistently bad.
And now tied again!
This is starting to look like the Cubs-Nats Game 5.
Which is now negated by a 3-run dinger by Altuve.
Who the hell wrote this script? A duel between two Cy Young winners now has 14 runs scored by the fifth inning.
This ump needs to die.
Die, die, die, die, die.
Dodgers go ahead, then Astros tie it again on a HR.*
What the hell!
I’m so glad I don’t have a serious rooting interest in this Series. I’d be going nuts.
I’ll be happy as long as it doesn’t go into extra innings.
*ETA: and go ahead on a double by Altuve.
Astros pull ahead!!!
Oh.
My.
Lord.
What a game.
This game is fucking CRAZY!
