MLB Playoffs

Another on-field rap performance instead of the first pitch?! And this one is worse than yesterday’s!

Oh the First Pitch was before the first 8 o’clock TV break – Derek Jeter

And as far as the rap, well, what can I say, Fat Joe is no Ice Cube. AND the production with the backing vocals over the PA sounds terrible.

But as things have been going I don’t blame them for not being in a hurry to start, y’know…

:joy:

Fat Joe isn’t even very fat. What a ripoff.

MLB and Fox suck.

8:08 start being delayed for no reasonable reason. Assholes.

Used to be back in the day. Looking it up it seems he got into the kids eating healthy thing with Michelle Obama and trimmed down back in 2010-ish.

2-0. That was quick.

Judge continues to struggle.

As an aside, I received a xitter today that proclaimed that tonight was a sports equinox: all four major pro sports have games tonight. That happens very infrequently.

Mookster! Helluva battle. [Red Sox fan here note]

Something has ruined Judge’s confidence. Not just his reaching for those down-and-away pitches, but also his constant need to take timeouts and take deep breaths. He needs that AL MVP mojo in his head again.

Buehler cruising.

Freddy Freeman appears poised to get World Series MVP at this rate. If he homers in Game 4 as well, he will set a record by being the first/only player to ever hit a home run in 6 consecutive World Series games (someone correct me if wrong.)

If the Yankees don’t want a starter with a 3.77 ERA I’m sure 29 other teams can put him to use.

A bit annoyed with that replay. The replay official depends on getting the feeds from the network, but only as they were about to annouce that the out call stood, only then did they show the CF camera shot where the runner’s hand appeared to get in under the pad.

And the other 8 fellows doing what they have to how they have to. Impressive defense.

I agree. A split second before they announce the call stands, the network shows the definitive shot. He was safe.

I didn’t go back to watch that final angle to see if he was safe, but they do always seem to get it wrong, don’t they? I don’t understand how they can’t cycle through each angle, but instead they fixate on 1 or 2 angles that very clearly don’t show anything definitive.

The strike zone appears to be all over the place. Yankees just got a walk on a clear strike 3, then struck out on a clear ball 4. It’s been bad all night.

Has been happening through the series. Frustrating.

Well, let’s see if they can make it another hair-raising 9th…

MEH.

At least we avoided a shutout…

FORMER Sox fan here. The Curse of Mookie 2.0 will be in effect as long as I draw breath (Read that in Grandpa Simpsons voice)
