“We’re sorry, the page you’re looking for can’t be found.”
Look at the URL to get an idea.
Never mind: at first my browser wasn’t finding the page.
I’m a Giants fan, so I would have rooted for them anyway, but their fans selling shirts in support of the Cardinals on one side and Darren Wilson on the other side would have made up my mind for me.
If he was in KC, he was well disguised.
Moustakas during the regular season:
.212/.271/.361
Moustakas during the postseason so far:
.318/.348/.864
Small sample size, i know, but damn.
Every fandom has bigoted assholes in its ranks. It doesn’t necessarily reflect on the fan base as a whole.
Boy, that non-balk call is going to add some controversy.
Should have been a balk there.
I hope not. There was more to the Cardinal’s loss than a missed balk. Wainwright wasn’t sharp for the second start in a row. You have to wonder what they’re going to do if his spot in the rotation comes up again.
So far Kansas City hasn’t been good at all stealing bases in the ALCS, and it isn’t stopping them from winning. They’re 1 for 4 so far if you count the pickoff. Yet they go home way, way up.
Go Giants!!! MadBum pitched great, and now Peavy has to deliver.
What is it about facing the Giants that causes every opponent to play as if their shoelaces are untied?
The only adept move the Cardinals made in Game 1 was to find some retired sailor to sing the bejesus out of the anthem. That guy was good.
The Royals are just amazing. They’ve been my No. 2 team since I was a kid and their postseason performance has been incredible.
I just turned on NLCS game 1 which I had recorded on my Comcast DVR. Per MLB.com, and my onscreen TV guide I recorded a channel called “Fox Sports 1”.
Now I go to watch it and I see the game is in one 1/2-size “window” on my screen while incessant and irrelevant yak-yak is in another window.
That is totally unsat.
Where can I find the remaining NLCS games broadcast in traditional full screen mode (in HD) with traditional commentary? And if there is no such channel, who’s HQ do I need to bomb to ensure this abomination is never foisted off on the fan base again?
For last night’s NLCS Game 1, you should have been watching FOX, not Fox Sports 1. IIUC, some of the postseason games are being broadcast on Fox, some on Fox Sports 1, some on TBS, some on MLB Network. Last night’s NLCS game was on Fox (with some sort of supplementary commentary on Fox Sports 1); tonight’s will be on Fox Sports 1. Don’t ask me why.
Thanks. I was afraid of that. Fox is non-HD. Oh well; non-HD was good enough for the first 40+ years I watched baseball.
I was out of town for the weekend, so I missed most of Game 1 (but managed to catch the first 3 innings
)…back in my accustomed position at the end of the couch tonight.

Go Giants!**
I made the mistake of watching Fox Sports 1 before someone told me to switch to Fox. I literally could not understand what was going on in the game.
On Fox Sports 1 last night they were actually having an entirely different announcing team who were covered focused heavily on stats. I listened to it for a couple innings. Not quite my thing, but still better than Joe Buck.
Two nights in a row the Cardinals have had an outfielder make a ‘catch’, then lose the ball upon hitting the ground. Last night it led off a 2-run inning; tonight it only cost them a single run.
