I left work early to get home by 5:00. By 6:00 I was watching reruns of The Simpsons.
Been a while since we’ve had a Game 7 … this’ll be fun. In a heart-attack-inducing sickening kind of way.
Wait, fans of a team in the World Series actually turn the game off when they’re losing? How bizarre. Every inning is amazing - it’s the friggin’ World Series! I hope it was at least the Hank Scorpio episode.
What inning will the announcers talk about it? The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th and all through the pregame.
I hope they don’t bring Bum in because that would mean the Giants are in trouble.

They were talking about it during the last game he pitched. To a large extent they were talking about would he pitch in games 1 5 and 7 if needed the moment the Giants made it into the world series.

I realize that I spent a lot of years listening to Vin Scully, so am spoiled, but jeebus! This adulatory worshipful crap these broadcasters are pouring over the Giants is making me nauseous. Ugh. Couldn’t they at least pretend to be unbiased? And can’t someone get Harold to STFU?

I have to also think that in seven plus innings of left handed pitching where you just need one run to tie, there was probably an appropriate place to pinch hit Josh Willingham, lefty-beating-power-hitter.
