Post-season thread here.
This has been a weird season to follow the Cardinals. Last year, we had an exciting pennant race between three teams that all seemed to be playing really well. This year started off well on paper, but it seemed like the team never gelled during the first half of the season. Key players were off and the hits never seemed to come during the same inning. Then Molina hurt his thumb, and I pretty much gave up on the season. There’s always next year, right? But they puttered along without Molina, not giving up too much ground, and when he came back, the team picked it up a little while the Brewers apparently disintegrated. Somehow, the Cards have won the division again.
