Mm. Good mac'n'cheese.

A co-worker and I went to California Chicken Roasters (or something like that) at lunch yesterday. We were only a bit peckish, but we got lunches anyway. She didn’t much care for her BBQ chicken, and she gave me her side-order of mac’n’cheese.

I reheated it a little bit ago, adding salt and pepper plus a hunk of bleu cheese left over from a meeting last Friday. (Yeah, “Bachelour Kibble™”.) Mm, was it good! The bleu cheese really gave it a nice flavour.

Just thought I’d share.

Yeah, the Mac and Cheese at Boston Market is some of the best out there. Something about roasted chicken places?

Hey, he didn’t bring any for us! Let’s get him!!

He must suffer our terrible and mighty wrath! Unless he brings us some more.

Bleu cheese? Really? I need to try that sometime.

Erm… Sorry, but all I had were the leftovers myself!

The serving was in a little styrofoam bowl. Must’ve been about a cup. There was a chunk of bleu cheese in a baggie about an inch by half an inch.

I do have some bleu cheese left, and some stilton. I’ll probably scarf it with some Knäckebröd and merlot tomorrow, but I’ll share if you get here in time!

Gimme! Um, please.

Well, now that’s me hungry. Off to the kitchen …

Johnny L.A., why must you torture me so?

I made this version of macaroni and cheese for a family get together a few weeks ago. I substituted Colby for the mild chedder and added some asiago too. I doubled the recipe and it was all wolfed down is short order. They were even taking pieces of bread and wiping the cheese remnants from the pan. My niece even feigned being upset because my contribution to recent family dinners have turned into the star of the meal.

I freakin’ hate the abbreviated “mac n cheese”. I loathe the day that was cut short. When I hear or see mac n chees I want to burn the owrld down…arrggghhh…It is macaroni and cheese…it’s kenticky fried chicken…it’s mcdonalds…We are so lazy and so into jingles and cute ways of saying things…I hate it all…

Sorry to be rude…I just had to get it out…

Offtopic, Johny, you were in my dream last night. Wearing a bandana and sunglasses. Have you recently become a biker or pirate?

A biker? A motorcyclist, if you please!

I only rarely wear a bandana, usually when I’m riding in the winter. I wear it bandit-style under my helmet and tucked into my jacket to keep out the draft. And I usually wear sunglasses, even on overcast days.

Shiver me timbers an’ walk me plank!

mac 'n cheese is on my list of Things to Sit Around and Eat All Day in Heaven[sup]TM[/sup].

Preferably served with purple Koolaid and saltines.

No, it’s officially KFC. They deliberately changed it to disassociate themselves with the word “fried.” I’m sorry Govindha. (They probably don’t want to be associated with “kenticky,” either.)

I am sick this week and need comfort food. I want macaroni and cheese now, but it will not happen unless I make it and I don’t know if I have the energy. :frowning:

Can I just get some regular macaroni and cheese and leave it until it turns bleu all by itself?
That doesn’t sound very good at all.

Mary had a little lamb
Left over in a stew
It sat and sat until it turned
A nasty shade of blue

Best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had------?

Virgil’s BBQ Restaurant off Times Square in Manhattan.

Best ever. And now available 7 days a week! (Used to be just a Wednesday special).

Do they deliver? To Hawaii?

Kenticky.Ha. That darn finger pressing a little to the right. I realize they officially changed it , I just don’t want to get used to it.

I loathe misspelled store names like kountry korner and the countless hip hop names and song titles. Don't tell me, they do it to add something freash to the mix...spell it like it sounds eh?
