MMP - FCM and the Fall Follies

Toad Suck is small potatoes (N. O. T.). Everyone knows that Bucksnort TN is the big ti time place to be…

Man, I really am a bum. I finished the 5 clay pieces from last week, and sorta tidied the studio, but I haven’t moved a thing. I’ve got a load of towels in the washer that are probably done - I’ll check when I finish this post. I’ve fed the critters and just finished a bowl of stew - yum. I emptied and reloaded the dishwasher and wiped out the microwave. But mostly, I’ve been playing computer Scrabble.

I just don’t feel like doing anything.

And I need chocolate. Maybe that’s the problem - a severe chocolate deficiency??

Hey all - I’m back, I’ve even had a short nap. I think I shall post the new MMP this evening, so look for it. I’ll save my tales for that but to say I probably would have had more fun hangin’ with the NJDopers, had I known how to get to where they were from where I was
I’m glad mostly everyone else’s weekend was fun

The outlet mall is right in the middle where 301 splits off to head north from 50, FCM. They’ve been building some new stores in the middle so I think the only way you get actually get into it now is via 301, so just bear left at the fork and Outlet Center Drive is the first turnoff on your right. Not real hard to find.

I am an even MORE tired Big Cat today. Mostly from being a really, really good mommy. See, since I’d taken palebunny shopping for new pants the other night, before she left I then had to shorten them for her. Which is a bit of a job since she’s shorter than your average rabbit. Plus she brought some shirts for me to shorten. Mama’s Tailoring Service at your service, ma’am! So that’s what I’ve been doing all afternoon. I’m such a good mommy.

And before that, we took the pups up to the other dog beach, where it was Golden Day; there were more happy idiotic goldens running around shaking all over everyone than oughta be allowed. Except, of course, it should be allowed because it’s completely hilarious. Everyone loved it except the young woman who brought her Welsh corgi to the beach. Little dogs don’t usually do so well with all the big ones charging around, but she sensibly just took her pup to the far end where everybody ignored her because they were all too busy retrieving each other’s tennis balls, except for Trevor, who liked to retrieve multiple tennis balls at one time. A wonderful time was had by all, needless to say.

So this evening it’s time to put our footsies up and watch the Amazing Race premiere, and then go to bed at a decent hour because I have to get the bunny up in the morning to take her to the airport. Well, to the Metro on her way to the airport, actually, but same difference. And then I have to go to the doctor, then meet friends from Kitchener, Ontario who are driving through on their way to Ocean City, MD for coffee, and then come home and get back to my real life, aka working. I think I need to go back to work to rest up from my time off!

Oh, and FCM, chocolate is always appropriate.

FCM sounds like a severe chocolate deficiency to me. You should remedy that.

Breaking news! I got a call from ACBG just now. His sister called him and told him her son (his youngest nephew) runned off and got hisself hitched Friday! He said she was havin’ a hissy over the phone but he said he wasn’t surprised cause momma and momma-in-law had apparently been drivin’ the poor things nutso with the wedding stuff. So, the up and runned off to Mississippi and got married. I’m sure he will receive several more calls late this evening. As he said, the mom report is sure to come and probably his brothers too. All I can say I’m glad he’s the one that has to listen to it all and not me. I’m so evil! I even told him that. I will not repeat what he said cause, well, this is a clean establishment and such language may offend delicate ears. I know mine are burning.

Feh! Y’all gotta get to Yahoo Junction here in Flawduh. Chicken Shit capital of the world.

Pretty much a quiet weekend here at the Anachi household. Some Omaha Steaks for dinner last night and baked N.O.T.s. Tonight will be Eyetalian Fried Chicken Boobies and Spare guts.

gt, your Mexican scrambled aigs gave me a great idea how to jazz up the old Egg Beaters. I like them well enough but they are a tad bland.

For those who might be wondering, Grampy Anachi seems to be feeling a bit better. He was actually hungry when I went by yesterday so I quick went out and got him a cheeseburger and some fries. Lots of fat and calories. Don’t know how long it will last but at least he can guiltlessly enjoy junk food.

See ya all tommory!

Good for Grampy Anachi! I say eat all the cheeseburgers and fries and other stuff ya want Grampy. I’m glad to hear he’s doin’ some better puggy.

Too bad the conference wasn’t more fun, rosie.

Glad to hear Grampy is doing better, Puggy. Thought of you when I saw a bumper sticker yesterday: My pug is smarter than your honor student.

Well, I have the cabinet just about put together. Looks like one of the back panels is just a tidge too long. I’m tired of playing with it, so I’ll finish up tomorrow. I probably should do something productive, but I’ll probably be bad and not…

Guess I could actually empty the dishwasher. Or put some clothes in the washer. Or some other exciting domestic task. Or I could read the paper.

Why is it almost Monday??? :frowning:

Update on the elopement:

We have the momma report. ACBG’s mom called him and said she was not surprised it happened cause just as I said, the MOTB and MOTG were drivin’ ‘em crazy! They wanted this to be some kind of Kornfield County, AL social event of the season, and the kids just wanted to get hitched. So, the kids did the smart thing. Good for them! ACBGmom, according to him, has been telling his sis “I told you so” all day long. Mom is a hoot! She once told me that she’s taking advantage of her old lady status and sayin’ what she dang well pleases cause she’s earned it. I like her! Course, smartass me asked if the final straw was over what to serve at the wedding dinner… did they have a knock down drag out over possum vs. squirrel. ACBG said it was more like fried chicken vs. pork bbq but I had the general idea. His sis is a nice person but apparently dove off the deep end on this one cause it was her baby gettin’ married. He told me that MOTB was pretty much known around Kornfield County as a psycho so that didn’t surprise him either. Oh, and the happy couple has announced that they are moving to Birmingham, AL because they both have jobs there now. This was a surprise announcement on top of the elopement.

Now, see, this is the kind of tv drama I could get into watching.

I’m back! It’s been a heck of a weekend. Loose rugrats, short staffed, crazed preachers, even a Chick tract. The dog is walked, and I am having salad, steak, and baked **N.O.T.**s.

Yeah for Grandpa Puggy!

Swampy, I would be inclined to elope myself.

gt, I am off on Monday, so I am insane with joy that the weekend is over.

Damn, I turn my back for a day and a half, and we got weddin’s and such?

My friend Mike’s surprise fiftieth turned out to be a grand affair. I got up at his son’s request to explain to Mike’s family why his nickname is “the Evil Leprechaun”

(It’s because he’s always the one making and passing out drinks, and yet never seems to be the drinkiest one in the room)

Then up early today to get some breakfast and go with the wife to watch the Bears whump some Lions into submission.

Now I’m tired. As in sleepy-tired.

we also got the new MMP - I have too much to do tomorrow so I posted it already
