Mmp! Mmp! Mmp!

It’s amazing how a quickly even a beautifully maintained lawn can turn into a hayfield when you have tons of rain.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 90 and sunny for the day. Also, there’s a little bit of a cool breeze this mornin’.

redneck bein’ as my yahd is mostly dried up grass right now, I wouldn’t know. We have had a definite lack of rain here in south Jawja this Spring. I need to turn on the sprinkler system and I don’t like to do that.

flytrap ftr I don’t have a mortgage either. So There! :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. At least today is my Firday. YAY!

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Hell, he needs to unzip to count to 20½. :o
Blurf.
(More later; though not sure if that more Blurf or more text)

Slept in till 6:30-ish which led to some bizarro dream clips: Paul McCartney having to perform as a street musician, then me trying to get out of a mansion and not finding an exit, then me on a bike trying to carry my dog Candy (who was a family pet when I was in high school - yoiks!!) The last hour or so, I got into a position that left me with an incredibly stiff neck - I hate when that happens!!

It rained already and lots more is promised thru the day. My only actual plans involve studio work, altho I might become bored enough to pull out the vacuum cleaner. We shall see. **FCD **plans to work in his shop for the entire long weekend, altho tomorrow we’ll be driving to Fredburg to pick up his paint. It’s official - the bike will be green. With skulls. Bikers are so boring about skulls. <yawn>

I’ll probably run to the grocery store also, since I didn’t go yesterday. And I have to call and arrange to have the oil changed in the Sonata on Tues - 85K miles since Jan 2012 - the joys of living in the boonies and having to drive long ways for everything…

So, Happy Thursday, all!

Gah! My guinea pig decided that 6:15 was a good time to start a squealing fit - after I went to bed far too late watching the last Letterman show.

Then I went in the kitchen and was alarmed at how hot parts of my refrigerator are. A few minutes research has determined the Condenser Fan has failed (it was making a huge amount of noise the past few weeks then silence).

So I had to pull the back panel off the fridge and set up a fan to cool the coils. This should save the fridge (and prevent a house fire), and the new fan motor from Dappz.com will arrive Monday.

After I send this I’ll try for another hour of sleep. I am taking a long weekend with the kids starting tonight. Good morning all!

Up, caffeinated, off to work. Looks like it might rain today.

giggity, maybe you have the Lassie version of a guinea pig, and he was yelling, “Hey, the fridge condenser is toast! Also, Timmy fell down a well again.”

**doggio **- I think you’re right - what a heroic guinea pig!!

Also: T.G.I.H!

thank goodness it’s hockey?

That, too.

“Thank God It’s tHursday”

I went to a wonderful play last night. It was called “33 Variations” and was about Beethoven working on a piece of music, and about a modern-day music scholar studying the piece of music, and about her relationship with her daughter. It was so good!

I forgot to set my alarm, so I got up much later than I intended. Oh well. Must try to get my work done.

Back from grocerying. It’s still dreary and drizzly. I just can’t seem to get motivated - it doesn’t help that Higgs is snoring behind me.

On the plus side, I pulled a loaf of 'nanner bread out of the freezer - yum awaits when it thaws!!! And tomorrow, I’m going to smoke 2 racks of ribs - more yum!!

Let me help you with that.

No, it’s So Happy It’s Thursday.

How can you not know that??

Sounds like piggie was trying to tell you about the problem. Good little rodent!

We once had a puppy wake my mother by freaking out (father and grandfather had already left the house very early that morning). Turned out someone (probably my grandfather) had gotten careless with a lit cigarette and left it on the arm of a sofa, and puppy turned out to be a very good smoke detector.

Called out sick today. Anyone know where I can get a new throat and some new sinuses?

Try Herb’s Discount House of Throats and Sinuses.

You’re welcome.

I’m so bored - I really should head down to my studio…

Howdy Y’all! [del]Minion[/del] Assistant and I are slurpin’ on MickeyD’s frozen strawberry/lemonade as I post. We each have our own. I splurged. The dang things are soooooooo good!

No but I’m willing to go looking for a donor if some other Mumpers want to join me in the harvesting.
Which sort of indirectly brings me back to this moment. Spent the morning ammo shopping after a late night of watching the last Late Night. I fell away from the show maybe 15 years back when I started working days more regular but for the final one I had to tune in. I regret not seeing the Giant Door Knob one last time but the shots of Larry “Bud” were good and some of the stills from the old Chris Elliot routines. I enjoyed the show but was never a serious fan; I will be curious if the new guy can bring some new life back to it all.

Other than that its work work work and me with a stiff back and hip. Not a totally fun day.

Greetings fellow Mumpers. Posting from irk of course. Today seems like Firday to me. Kinda slow day at irk. I have a three day weekend! I may ask to be off tomorrow and make it a four day weekend.

Y’all be good.

I was never brave enough to post on this board from work, because sometimes I’d written not-so-nice things about work on this message board. Though really, my office job was really nice so I didn’t have much to complain about. I posted from school often, but didn’t care as much about that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Though I work from home at the moment so I guess I kind of am posting from work.
