I used to be Dolores Claiborne, a character in a Stephen King novel. She was in a bad marriage. I was in a bad marriage, too, and it sorta fit at the time. I had to come up with something to join the board!
Anyway, life got better, I remarried, and now I’m way happier. So I asked the mods to change my name to Dolores Reborn. (After I polled this place, of course.)

swampy the problem isn’t *using a power a tool, it’s whether or not the thing is usable. When it’s plugged in and the trigger pushed, it does make the loud noise. But the working bits seemed to be a bit off-kilter, kind of askew instead of plumb. And I don’t want to make a six-foot long angled cut using an iffy saw. That can only end in tears.

However, I found out that if I become a member of the Railroad club thinger, I can bring non-students along with me to those Wednesday meetings. And becoming a member would be really easy.
