Has anyone actually tried the “Mock Apple Pie” recipe found on the box of Ritz™ Crackers?
I’m a pretty good cook and don’t see how one would get either the taste or the texture of apples from mooshed up crackers.
What does it taste like, and, given how cheap apples are and how comparatively expensive Ritz Crackers are, why bother, anyway?

Mmmm, good cracker, good cracker.
Yick, lousy pie, really lousy pie.
But just my humble opinion.
Gramma made it once.
Please note the appearance of the word “once”.
It was like eating baked crackers.
But don’t let my experience stop you.

I’ve never been able to tell the difference between a big, ripe juicy apple and a Ritz cracker. It has gotten me into no end of zany mix-ups, especially considering my name.
