I was recently suspended for two days by @What_Exit for linking to a site that’s against board rules (and I’m still pretty unclear what those rules are).

I also think mods should keep posters informed of what is happening - when they are suspended, when they are unsuspended, and if mods are discussing taking further action, they should let everyone - or at the very least the poster concerned - know their decision.

The linked site (I am not a mod, but this seems clear to me) went past “conservative views” to the official SDMB definition of hate speech.

As I said, I wasn’t even aware of this rule and I’m still pretty unsure what is allowed.

When the rules are updated, I read them. I recommend all members do so. Should I want clarification on new rule, or feel that it should be changed somehow, I start an ATMB thread.

d. It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that both the OP of the thread and the mod were assuming the worst about my motives exactly because of my political views.

You linked to hate speech. No where in that post did you say you disgreed with it.

I very much doubt I would have got a suspension for that link if I had the sort of lefty views that are most common on this forum.
