My gifted resources teacher volunteered me and another student to participate in a Model Judiciary program. It’s kind of like a mock trial, and it happens in a real courtroom with a real judge and everything! This is the first year that my high school has been a part of this. The other student and I missed the original case, but got in for the appeals. We made our five minute statement at an appeals court in Chesapeake yesterday before three judges. If we did well enough, then we will get to go to Richmond next month for the next level of appeals. We’ll know whether we get to go or not hopefully by the end of this week or the beginning of next week. I’m hoping we’ll get to go.

Cool – I hear the Richmond judges really like cookies.
