Unless Frank is short for Francine, I admit I assumed you were a chick. I don’t know why, but I did.
As one Frank to another, I say, good for you!
Also, I suppose the ever-present “Can I be Frank” jokes are just our little cross to bear.
I’m Frank, and so is my wife.
From episode #523 - Village of the Giants
I like the name Frank.
My favorite Uncle’s name is Frank.
And I Do mean that.
No, I’m not. “I’m all man, in case you heard otherwise!” The gender ambiguity is not one of the reasons I changed it. It didn’t bother me - I just corrected as needed.
Well, I’m making a little list.
And you’re on it.
Okay. But who’s earnest?
You can run, but you can’t hide. They’ll still find you…
Damn, you beat me. I was going to say, “Because he’s Earnest on another board.”
My brother and I have never called each other by our proper names: it’s always been Frank and Joe. Now, I guess we’ll be just a couple of Joes–hmmm, this might get confusing!
**It’s a nice name. Richard Nixon’s got a hedgehog called Frank. Frank – Fran – Frannie – little Frannie-pooh… **
There really is a Monty Python quote for every occasion!
Grim
Frank means orch stab to me.
What’s the importance of it?
It’s a Freudian reference–he’s boasting of the size of his hot dog.
Will any of the Lady Dopers testify ( ) if Frank is a kiebasa or a cocktail weenie?
Because only chicks can be models. Duh.
How come this isn’t in MPSIMS? You should ask a mod to move it.
:dubious: Because this is where the posters who frequent IMHO will see it. When TubaDiva did the name change for me, she agreed that this was the appropriate place to put a notice. Happy now?
No wonder I didn’t recognize you. This Years Model is a girl’s name. Girls are models, boys are action figures. Frank, though is usually a boy’s name, unless or course it’s really Frances.
Or the only models I pay attention to are chicks. But that still doesn’t make sense since “This Year’s Model” would more likely be a car reference or a TV reference and I never assumed he was a TV. Maybe it was because Frank is a jack-booted psycho and I prefer my jack-booted psychos in skin-tight leather and I prefer to think of skin-tight leather on chicks. Call it, oh, I dunno, biology
Actually, it was an Elvis Costello reference. It was the title of his second album.
Just keep on riding, riding, riding, till you clear your name.
