Well, i’m going to be a party-pooper and suggest you stick with your current name, because:
a) i like it,
and
b) it can get frustrating trying to keep track of all the name changes on these boards, especially when you suddenly see a new name, and also see that the person has been around for three or four years, and then have to go and track down who the hell it is that you’re talking to.
I’ve opined before that we should have a board rule that all name changes should be announced in a thread. If you do decide to change yours, at least we’ll have this threa to tell us what the change was.
You do have a good point- it is confusing with the name changes. Maybe I could add a sig to notify, at least for a while. And I’m glad you like my current name. I just feel that, for some people, it has negative connotations and perhaps some posters may enter into discourse with me already biased based on my username.
Also, I’m mellowing out in my golden years now, and am becoming more of a get-along-to-go-along kind of gal (it’s much easier), so maybe it doesn’t accurately represent me anymore. It doesn’t represent my persona on the boards, at any rate- I created it based on my real-life personality, which is changing.
Hopefully, I will get some more opinions, but I will definitely keep your advice in mind.
