I was wondering - are mods assigned to a forum the type of person that would post in that forum often if they were not a mod?
Are they assigned based on personality in any way?
How do you become a mod?
Can I become a mod (theoretically)?

Who decided which mods would moderate a particular forum?
Both past threads from this forum.
Thanks Ice
Will the last person to leave please turn out the lights?

In theory, sure, anyone can become a moderate. First, your forswear any prior allegiance to either the far right wing or the far left wing, and you move to a more centrist position. Over time, you continue to drop whatever policies are still on your radar scope at the far right or far left, taking a narrower and narrower position at the center. You will then become a complete center-of-the-roader, or, affectionately known as an extreme moderate.
Theoretically.
Oh, wait, did you mean…?
I thought you had to dress is ankle boots, cool suits and skinny ties?
Man, I’m so out of touch.
Don’t call them, they’ll call you.
