I know on-location vacation episodes are a sitcom cliché, but **Modern Family **does them well and I’m really excited to see them to Australia this year.

Overall kind of meh, but I always enjoy Phil being tortured by the universe.

…and that’s what’s so great about this show. Sometimes they trust the audience to find the joke.
Almost as good was when Luke lost his swimsuit and the Bondi Beach babe says “No problem. The water here is really clear.”

Weren’t they just in Vegas? Feels like they are reaching. Some cute jokes. Watching Cam and Mitch be fame-whores was more sad than anything.
And it was a bit weird to have Luke and Manny obsessing over “boobies” given Gloria’s assets. Talk about the melons in the room.
Alex’s followup line was great! “Seems like a missed opportunity.”
Gloria is Manny’s mother, so he doesn’t see her that way, and presumably neither of them has seen Gloria in all her glory. If she HAD gone topless, I’m sure Luke at least would have been perfectly content to stay with the family.
