There’s no reason why it wouldn’t work in the others.
Actually if you click on a player name there is a kick option but it is always greyed out :dubious:
Yes, but much less incentive. For example, there’s a whole other team of people looking around for people to shoot and you can’t just go off into the corner and boost. Furthermore, I go into the playlists with a full party, so it can’t happen to us.
Two more guys doing it today. I found out because one of them was stupid enough to kill me while he was camping and I saw their location from the killcam. When I respawned I found the location and I accidentally both of them with some semtex
Level 45. Last night I broke off my engagement with the MG4 with the grip. I loved the all-roundness of it (good at long range. good at short range) but as a guy with Marathon pro and ninja pro it slows me down too much.
I tried the M16. Didn’t like the lack of full auto.
I’ve tried the Tar-21. Didn’t like how it tends to spray bullets wildly.
I haven’t yet (re)tried the scar-h. It’s a while since I used it. it has a low-ish fire rate so not sure.
I might have to resort back to submachine guns like I used to use. Such as the P90. Thing is it means I’ll pretty much have to give up much hope of the long range kills (long-shot! awards) I’ve been getting using the MG4.
Oh well. Such is life.
Edit: I’m completely hopeless with sniper rifles so they are not an option.
Use the ACR.
Scar-H, IMO, is the best all round AR. Good accuracy and with FMJ and Stopping Power is a great killing tool. The ARC has great accuracy but under powered compared to the Scar.
I am maxing the Scar and my next milestone is 350 headshots with it. I have unlocked pretty much everything else on it.
It’s not unlocked for three more levels. Once I’ve unlocked it I’ll use it. A friend recommended it.
I go back and forth between the ACR and the SCAR. The SCAR is great, but the clips are small. The ACR is weak, but has larger clips and with stopping power, it’s just fine.
When you unlock the AK, and if you love the SCAR, you’ll love the AK. Practically the same weapon, but with a bunch more rounds in each clip.
The ACR is pretty much the same as the M4, but seems to have a little more Stopping Power.
I’m trying to like it, but I’m having a hard time. I just feel like it fires so slowly that it has to have stopping power to be effective. I’ve been using it because I’m almost to the 500 kill mark, but it’s irritating. I bet if I put stopping power back on I’d like it again, but I’m enjoying Danger Close right now. The spec has the m203, thumper, scavenger, and DC. Lots of 'splosions.
I’ve also started using the MG4. It’s a fun gun. I have to use a sight on it, though. I can’t stand the iron sights on it. Right now I have a heartbeat sensor and a holo sight, and I wreck people with it.
Man, I would happily give up any other perks if I could just run Cold-Blooded and Stopping Power at the same time.
Snipers are pretty much an extinct breed in this game. This game goes to actively stop sniping, an so many people think they’re good with Stopping Power on their sniper rifle. Even then, they’re all fodder for chopper gunners, Predator missiles, and the like.
I’m hoping Halo:Reach will do Call of Duty better than Infinity Ward can. Hell. Treyarch does Call of Duty better than Infinity Ward does.
I’ve found that a good combo for me is using Bling to get the 203 and the ACOG scope (originally on the M-4, but lately on the TAR-21) and the throwing knife. Usually I’ll run around with the 203 lobbing nades at folks (I’m pretty decent) and use the throwing knife at short range.
Of course, on occasion, I spaz out, and pop some dude in the face with a 40mm grenade from five feet away. Some of my best kills have been spaz kills, actually.
I worked on all the sniper rifles towards the end of my first prestige and found that once you get to know the maps sniping is a very effective way to get kills. Knowing the starting spawn points for each map means that I can often get three or four kills in the first minute as the opposing team move into the open en masse.
The only Killstreaks that casue problems are the Pavelow and AC-130 because they take multiple missiles to bring down, for the others I always swap to my AA class and take them out. There is nothing more satisfying than the anguished moaning when you shoot down a fourth Harrier or Helicopter before it has a chance to get any kills.
They’re still pretty common in Hardcore Team Deathmatch. In that, I usually move around with a silenced sniper rifle (can’t remember the name, it’s the last one you unlock) and it does great for me.
Well, yes. Knowing the maps is a good way for anyone to get kills. Some of the maps, like, say, Favela, don’t lend themselves to sniping. It’s tough to be moving around when there are only a couple of places to snipe from on some of these boards and the killcam that always betrays your position.
And yes, Hardcore evens a lot of that out (and you can use a silencer and not be penalized too much, either) because of the higher damage output/smaller amount of damage you can take.
Has the PC version of MW2 started crashing for anyone else? For me I can have one game of 3rd person cage, and then the second game, right when you are about to get to the class selection screen the game crashes to windows. When I first go the game it was fine. But this has been happening every time I play the game for the past few days. My component temperatures are all way within safe operating levels. I’ve googled it but I don’t get anything about this specific mode of crash (for other people it crashes intermittently, or as soon as they run the game)
Edit: Downloading latest nvidia drivers (released 4 days ago) to see if that helps.
According to Den Kirson’s after-patch stats, the Barrett is the sniper rifle of choice because of a slight damage output over the WA2000. The Barrett also holds 4 more rounds per clip.
Finally got the ACR last night (A winning streak of 3PC and a few good games of FFA one of which I came second)
It doesn’t flail, it kills quickly, and it has good range. But I’m disappointed in one aspect of it: it seems to slow me down almost as much (if not as much) as the LMG the MG4. And the main reason I stopped using the MG4 was because it slowed me down.
I might stick with the P90 for my close-quarter-battle style of play.
On the venn-diagram with people I know that play MW2 and *dopers I sort of ‘know’**, the two don’t intersect (as far as I know)
