Well…In some places, it’s illegal, but not universally. See: Is suicide against the law?
In this case, the thread is really about whether it’s dangerous to lick a battery. So, I think it’s pretty much about safety and prevention (and stupidity) rather than encouraging suicide.
BTW, the better way of calling something like this to a Moderator’s attention is to use the REPORT THIS POST button. Posting works, but the other is usually faster and more effective, and doesn’t attract lots of unwanted attention – if the thread really were about how to commit illegal acts, then posting a question here would only attract more eyes to it. REPORT THIS POST would be less obtrusive, if you see what I mean.
