a) I wake up and in my web browser I pick my saved URL to Mohela, to obtain my current balance, and the link doesn’t work. It’s a link that worked previously. So…
b) I type “Mohela student loan” (without quotation marks) in the search bar and am brought to www.mohela.com and there’s a login button there
c) I type the username and password I’ve been using and it says that that’s WRONG. (lather, rinse, repeat).
d) I click “forgot your username?” and provide my particulars and am informed my username is my OLD one before Mohela moved me to the new system
e) So I use that username and the old password that went with it, and it logs me in only to inform me that I’m supposed to go HERE: https://authenticate2.mohela.studentaid.gov/
f) … and it has a separate login button that works with the username and password I was attempting to use at step C above
g) Then I receive this utterly useless email from Mohela reading “ALLAN,This information was sent to you because you recently requested to view your User Name on mohela.com. If you did not request it, please contact MOHELA.” — which does not provide username and the “contact Mohela” link goes to https://www.mohela.com/DL/common/contactUs.aspx …which has no useful “how to contact Mohela” information on it — only canned answers to questions and concerns that don’t match mine at all.
