Mom was taken to the hospital, vomiting blood.

I’m so sorry. Do let us know if there’s anything we can do to help.

The same thing happened to ms.lanelee in August. She had a thing called a bezoar. It was a real scary Friday night and a lousy weekend. She’s better now but things were difficult. Hope your Mom is well. You are not alone.

Bosda my thoughts are with you and your mom now.
Please keep us updated, and if there is anything we can do, please let us know.

Update–

Mom is feeling better, after 5 or 6 pints of blood. Her meds are revised, & she is resting more or less comfortably.

Let’s hope for the more comfortably.

I am so sorry your Mom has gone through yet another event, I know this is hard for you right now sweetheart, hang in there. I am sending good thoughts and prayers out for all of you.

Ayesha --you are going through something tougher right now. You and you Mom have my thoughts and love.

Bosda - You know I live nearby. In fact, I’m at my farm in Readyville, so I’m sure I can’t be too far from you. If you need anything, let me know.

I’m glad she’s doing better. The only time I ever saw someone vomit blood was the last time I saw my grandmother, when I was seven. But she was dying of cancer, so that’s a little different than your mom’s situation. Scary as hell, though, isn’t it?

Oh Bosda, I do hope it all goes well!

I had a pretty impressive little hemorrage after Kid, the Younger was born. I got topped up again, something on the order of 4-6 units (I forget which) and all was well. The same Kid scared the heck out of us a few months back by peeing a LOT of blood. He was 14 at the time. Turned out to be a bladder infecton.

The thing to remember with your Mom is that she’ll likely be very tired for quite a while. Blood loss at that volume will sap her right out. Make sure she gets lots of protein and liquids and especially iron. I was on an iron supplement.

Good luck to you both!

Ann

Oh, my, Bosda… And I thought it was scary seeing my mom cough up blood. I’m so glad that she is doing better. I hope you’re taking care of yourself as well. stern, inquisitive but caring look

You and your mom will continue to be in my prayers.

Oh no, I’m sorry that you are having all this bad news at once. I hope that things start looking up soon.

Update on Mom.

She’s feeling a little better. I may be allowed to see her this afternoon. She may come home soon, though that may be Dad’s usualy optimism/pushinessness.

Me–my abcess has neither grown nor shrunk. No surgery with all this going on at home, so it’s wait & see time for me.

I’m glad your mom is doing better. I hope you will be soon telling us the same about yourself. “Yay, though I walk through the valley…”. Sometimes we have some really dark valleys to walk through, but there is always light at the other end.

May God hold you and yours in the palm of His hand, and give you peace and healing.

Mom’s been home for several days.

Came home on Monday, with a visit from my sister, my BIL, & her baby Granddaughter.

That infant cheered my parents so much!

Mom is much better.

I, on the other hand, sit bolt upright in bed at the slightest noise.

Glad to hear that.

((((((Bosda)))))))

Glad to hear your mother is doing better.

You need to take care of yourself too.

Best wishes Bos. Hang in there.
