Mondays already suck so why not be in church?

That’s how it came out when talking to the husband about getting into the practice of attending services. Church doesn’t really suck, but it does seem like a chore.

We are feeling guilty about not raising the kids in a church - but which church? I’m catholic he is protestant. We have never been churchgoers together and feel the kids are missing out on something.

Oh we read the bible to them, and say prayers and teach em right from wrong, but that Sunday morning thing doesn’t appeal to us.

What with work and school all week, music lessons on saturdays and other household grunge duties, on Sundays we like to stay put, leave the car parked ( nearest town is at least ten miles away), no fussing over getting up and dressed.

So I would rather keep Sundays for family and quiet reflection at home.

Also, it is tough finding a church that will be a good fit as we are nonconformists in many ways.

It was a beautiful moment yesterday, my 6 yo running through a meadow last night the pale yellow moon shining and she shouts out “I beleive in God” Her heart was filled with joy and she expressed it that way! We must be doing something right!

I go to church on Thursady or Saturday nights, maybe you could find one that has a service or bible study on a different day?

One thing I’ve wondering…Why would you need to go to church if you already have the religious atmosphere at home?
