Once subscriptions expire, the users’ monikers then say “Guest”. I think it should say “Deadbeat”. On a related note, can I get my moniker changed to “Charter Member”? Like it used to be. Before I let my, uh, subscription lapse. For a year. I’m sorry. Pretty please?
I asked Tuba about this last year, and she mumbled “We’ll see” (or something to that effect) and wandered off.
Disclaimer: I’m just kidding about the “Deadbeat” thing"
If you ever get to pick your own title, do me a favor and make a dictionary-type instruction for pronouncing your name. It always me! I’m aware it may be a literary reference I’m not getting or something, but one of these days I’m gonna start a thread on Dopers whose names I don’t know how to pronounce! Yours would be right up there.
I think if a thread is a month or more old and is resurected there can be times when you’ll not recognize the user name of a ‘Guest’ which could mean a newbie(I hate that word). I was figuring for new comers instead of ‘guest’ maybe ‘times ticking’ and for expired memberships maybe ‘times up’.
