Monk Messes Up!

What if the person doing that is a transplant from the Southland?

I suspect their are a whole bunch of deliberate errors in this series.

I could let it slide, except the character of Monk grew up in the Bay Area. There was a flashback episode recently where a woman turns up to ask Monk for help with a case, as she remembers him from when they both went to 7th grade together - locally.

There was an earlier episode (“Mr. Monk and the Blackout”) with a nearly unrecognizable Judge Reinhold playing an enviromental activist up in a tree and they passed things up to him in a basket. I know there was another silly reference to SotL somewhere but I’m drawing a blank right now. Maybe it was in “Mr. Monk and the Godfather” when Sharona dates a guy who used to be fat and someone makes a “great big fat person” reference?

No, it was also in the blackout episode, when Monk was staggering around his house wearing night-vision goggles trying to find the killer, who was in his house, and Sharona was knocked out on the floor. I laughed my ass off.

I keep hearing:
“Come in Candycane.”

:smack: That’s right. How could I have forgotten that?

What, Ted Levine was Buffalo Bill? Shirley you can’t be serious.

According to IMDB, yeah. Holy cow, I never made that connection before. And I even thought, during the blackout, “wow, how Silence of the Lambs.” :smack:

How can you possibly respond to something like that without adding “And stop calling me Shirley?” It’s practically a requirement.

A requirement? What is it?

Maybe as a courtesy he was waiting for me to do it.

Or maybe it was an entirely different kind of post. Altogether.

A necessity or prerequisite.

But that’s not important now.

Or maybe it was an entirely different kind of post.

Sublime.
