Monopoly Money Question?

This may belong in GQ, but right now it seems, at the very least, pointless.

Since the beginning of production of the game of Monopoly, until now, how much monopoly money has been printed?

ETA: I am going to go Google it right now.

And on Google I found this…

I opened this thinking I should move it to GQ or the Game Room … still not sure which destination would be better, if either, so I’ll leave it here to see what kind of conversation evolves, if any.

Talk amongst yourselves, y’all.

According to Hasbro’s Monopoly FAQ, more than 275 million games have been sold.

According to Yahoo Answers, each game contains $15,140.

So, Hasbro has printed more than $4 trillion in Monopoly bills, or about one quarter of our current national debt.

Paying off the nat’l debt in Monopoly money can’t be worse than what they’ve been doing …

I dunno, the site says 111 countries and 43 languages – would they all use dollars? How about pounds, or francs, or rupees? I wonder what the exchange rate is between a Monopoly dollar and a Monopoly pound?

Also, there are probably many sets made but not sold. There could be a fortune in a warehouse somewhere.

Ah, I see the Wiki page confirms that other versions of the game have different currencies. There is even a “World Edition” with the “Mono” supposedly based on the Euro.
