Here I come.
I’ve finally convinced my wife that we should go to Montana. I lost the camping argument, but she lost the resort argument. We actually agreed on rustic, Forest Service cabins. The Forest Service offers up cabins for as little as $25 a night. No lights, no water, no nothin, in the boonies. To me, I’d prefer a tent, but the cabin does offer some protection againt the rain and the Grizzlies (the main reason my wife shot down the Tent idea). I booked 3 different cabins (see links above) in a 6 day span. All in the area of Bozeman. I would have gone for Glacier, but we’re road tripping with a three year old and a border collie. I figured I’d take it easy the first time out.
Pray for rain between now and the last week of August. As it stands, the area is under level II restrictions, which means no campfires. I would surely have her addicted if I could have a campfire under the stars.
