Moone Boy (UK series) - Anyone else see it?

A little while back my wife stumbled across Moone Boy while flipping channels late at night. We were hooked ever since. It’s a UK show about a young boy growing up in an Irish Village in the 80’s. He has this imaginary friend who does crazy things with him and a myriad of characters around him. There are also fun little animated inserts as well that are supposed to be the boy’s drawings. It was quite enjoyable!

Season two has yet to show in the US and apparently they are shooting a third season.

I enjoyed the show. Waiting patiently for season 3 to show up on Hulu.

I started a thread about this a while back ago. Link

I liked it; though I admit it took me the 2nd episode to realize it was a period piece. :o

I am going to check it out!

Love it! It’s sweet and cheeky and very funny. And super super Irish, so it makes you smile.

Mrs. Raza and I also enjoy it. I’m hoping we’re caught up, and not that the local PBS station has just dropped it: the last episode shown to us is

where the neighboring gypsy encampment leaves town

Series 3 actually just started broadcasting. Episode 2 aired this week! It just gets funnier and funnier.

I’ve been wondering about S3. The kid now has probably gone through a growth spurt and looks too old to have an imaginary friend. Which probably makes the whole thing even funnier.

I loved it. I caught it in the middle of season 2 (?) (with the gypsy encampment) and was totally baffled who his tall friend was, but I soon caught on. It reminded me somewhat of Wonderfalls in that regard. The season nicely built up to the final ceremony.

I see KTCA (Minneapolis) is showing episodes 107+ starting March 21st, so I can catch up. I don’t know when season 3 will show up on PBS. It looks like it’s available on Hulu.
