This October, I went to Bangkok for a week to take my GREs. It was a nice little vacation. Here are my photos from the trip:

This photo of yours is the Sao Chingcha, the Giant Swing. Some interesting background on that here. People used to die regularly amid a contest involving teams swinging up to try to grab a bag of gold. That ended early in the last century. It dates from more than 200 years ago, but they just replaced it again three years ago.

How I miss it. I go back to Bangkok on December 10 and will stay for a month this time.
