Season 3 of The Ricky Gervais Show started yesterday. You can get the whole season subscription for $7 (or the £ equivalent) through Audible. Not bad for a couple hours of entertainment. I enjoyed the first episode so far.
Also, there are a couple “training” videos floating around the internet that Gervais and Merchant did for Microsoft UK as David Brent.
If you liked the Ricky Gervais show, I have to give the heads up on another excellent British podcast: The Adam and Joe Show.
Adam and Joe were two posh schoolboys who self-produced produced a comedy series about ten years ago, in a Wayne’s World style. It was so funny it got networked, and while still not immensely popular, they’ve managd to land the same radio slot that Ricky Gervais used to have on XFM.
Their humour is different to Gervais’s - they’re less about personality and more about the contrast between the surreal and the mundane, with a bit of obscenity thrown in - but, to me at least, this podcast has proved so funny that I have nearly crashed several times over the last couple of weeks while listening to the episodes while driving.
