More SDMB memes you're sick of

Can we stop the selfish hijacking? It’s all “meme, me”…
I guess one meme I’ll never get tired of is the sound of someone getting wooshed, no?
While Clothahump might have said that with a degree of humor, it is a statement completely consistant with other things he’s said sincerely on this board.

Who wooshes the wooshers?

And, for my contribution, I get very tired of people shooting down any argument that references Hitler or the Nazis. They are very accessible for analogy in many ways, yet the instant someone uses one people reply, “haha! You’re saying this is like Hitler!?!? You lose, I win the argument!” As if the other side using a Nazi analogy gives credance to your side of a debate.
Here’s one that annoys me.
Agreed. Doper Exceptionalism drives me up a wall.
So, you admit you have nothing to support your theory?
Moderators who engage in hijacks, in order to ride their favorite hobby horse.
where someone asks “is there such a thing as an albino crow?”
But I have all sorts of evidence right in front of me that all crows are black: a white plastic spoon, an orange box cutter, a blue mousepad, a grey keyboard…
There’s just no need for it.

cite please

Yeah, I hate it too. The worst is when there are entire threads devoted to it. It’s really kind of sad.
To hell with that. Atheism is no less metaphysical than theism. All you sophistry will not change that.
All you sophistry is belong to us.
To swipe a phrase, atheism is a religion like not collecting stamps is a hobby.
I’m going to keep this in mind when my kids are applying to college. Under extracurricular activities we can list:

not-playing on the football team
not-acting in Our Town
not-cheerleading
not-working in homeless shelters
not-cooking meals for shut-ins
not-dancing with the ballet
not-inventing a cure for cancer

They’re such over-achievers! All it takes is a change in perspective!
I collect stamps. Does this mean my cat has to take its shoes off when it comes inside?
Not if you post pictures of the cat wearing shoes.

Not completely sure thats true Loach.

So a meme is a cultural item that is transmitted by repetition in a manner analogous to the biological transmission of genes. Don’t irritating conventional sayings/terms like Classical Liberal or referring to your loved one as Sitmam count? Or do we need generations of posters for it to count?
Me: I support the Coalition in Iraq, I support Iraqi Government efforts to secure it’s country.
Grammar nitpick: I don’t support your misuse of the apostrophe.

Seeing how the result of the coalition’s efforts has been the deaths of more that 600,000 Iraqi citizens, and that there is no functional Iraqi government, I hope you will understand that it is quite possible to believe the war to be the biggest blunder in world history.

Add me to this one.

Hitler would like to have a word with you regarding historical perspective.

So would Mr. Bonaparte, incidentally.
