Apparently, they gave the contract for food for somebody who had already been fired by the government 4 times for not delivering and she apparently screwed up badly, delivering 50,000 meals instead of 30 million, and packaging them wrong. link. In the same time, Jose Andres and his charity stepped up and fed 2.2 million people link. I guess it’s time to go back out to one of his restaurants and give him some more money (not exactly a hardship for me).

It’s a cottage industry and people make a lot of money from government contracts. The fed is notoriously bad about putting protective language in their contracts, leaving gaping holes that any smart contractor will spot in an instant. They are also notoriously lax about oversight, other than the Corps of Engineers. It’s why bidding for these contracts is so fierce.
So, she signs a contract that she has no intention of honouring and sues when it is canceled? How long until Trump offers her a position in his administration?
