I’ve tried to reply to a thread three times, and every time it’s told me my message needs to contain more than two characters. It definitely contains more than two characters. I’m not sure what’s going on. Any ideas?
I think the system doesn’t count things contained in quote tags and similar codes.
What did your message consist of?
There were three quotes, and I had comments between all of them. Looking at what Billdo said, it’s possible that I somehow screwed up my bracketing and made it think somehow that I had nothing in it but quotes. I’ll check and thanks.
you could temproarily put two dots (…) at the very beginning of your message and then preview it… that might help you find the coding error.
Why, that would make entirely too much sense. I’ll remember that next time, so I don’t feel like as much of a tool when I review my post and see that I did, indeed, bork the brackets like deeeeeern. So my durrrr-ness resulted in exactly what Billdo surmised: it thought I was posting nothing but quotes.
As of this month I’ve been on here for eight YEARS and I STILL can’t post right. My learning curve looks like a friggin’ prairie.
But the antics of the prairie dogs are just adorable.
This is where post-count means more than join date.
